Coronavirus Policy

During this difficult time of fear and loss there will be many people in need of support. This page is to explain what to expect as existing customers, and for potential new customers seeking counselling at this time.

For individuals in self-isolation online sessions are now available, this will entail an initial phone call and then video counselling using Zoom.

As stated on individuals can go outside for health reasons. Under the reasoning that mental health support is vital for some at this time, I have decided to continue seeing clients for face to face appointments, that is, if they feel it is vital for their mental health to continue sessions. For those who do not feel it is vital for them I recommend doing the sessions online or taking a pause from counselling.

For individuals still coming to face to face sessions – Certain measures need to be taken in response to current COVID-19 outbreak. I myself am following NHS guidelines in personal cleanliness and ask that clients do the same. Hand washing upon arrival is mandatory as is the effort to maintain the two meters social distancing. I am cleaning the room before each visitor, this entails using anti bacterial/anti-virus wipes and spray on handles, hard surfaces, soft furnishing and the card reader.
